Our new client Bridgestone came to their brand new agency Keyfruit for the launch of their new ultra-high performance tires, "Potenza S001".
We immediately started to think about it and decided to make a viral movie. The idea was simple: We put the tires in depression! We've produced a video which tells the story of depressed tires because of the Potenza S001. To make the audience curious about it, we didn't mention Bridgestone in the movie. We shared the movie in many tire & car related discussion boards.
The movie was met with a great interest in social networks. Everybody was talking about "the reason why the tires were in depression" in many discussion boards and blogs. In a short period, the video has started to spread itself.
Finally, over 600.000 people watched the movie and wondered why the tires were in depression. We couldn't make them any more curious, so we've published our second video which explains the "man of the movie", Potenza S001. As usual the movie was starring by our talented Japanese actor as a scientist.
Thanks to this video, we've improved our Japanese (a lot!). And one final notice: No tires were harmed during the making of this video.
